ANDERSON. I would like to correspond with anyone having information on my ancestors listed below:
ANDERSON Researching the ANDERSON AND DEMPSEY family who lived in Barlow, MS; Greenville, MS (Bolivar Co.) around the 1840's to 1850's. The family migrated to Grand Chain, Pulaski County, Illinois by 1900. My GGGrandfather was Peter ANDERSON who was born 25 Dec 1843. He married Rosetta DEMPSEY. Their children were Fred (my gr-grandfather), Rosetta, Preston, Sandy, Mariah and Silas. I would really like to know who their parents were and all that I can learn about Rosetta's family. I am looking forward to hearing from anyone with information about either family.
ANDERSON I am researching the ANDERSON family who lived Grand Chain, Pulaski County, Illinois. My GGGrandfather was Peter ANDERSON born 25 Dec 1842 in Barlow, Mississippi. His parents were born in Tennessee. I would really like to know who they are. Peter married Rosetta DEMPSEY. Their children were Fred (my gr-grandfather), Rosetta, Preston, Sandy, Mariah and Silas. I would really like to know who their parents were and all that I can learn about them. I am looking forward to hearing from anyone with information about either family.
BURTON/NEELY I am researching the NEELY and BURTON families from around the Holly Springs and Byhalia, Mississippi areas. My grandfather was Elder NEELY, (parentsTom NEELY and Mary CURRY) he married Nina Mae Eliza Beatrice Jane BURTON whose parents were Charles BURTON and Alma (Duck) HEARN. Some of their children were Mary, Alfer Alco (my father), Thomas, Gertrude, Catharine, Frankie and Fannie. I would appreciate any information on ancestors or descendents.
I am looking for the parents of John Henry Kimmons, born 1909 in Oxford, Mississippi. He was found in the 1930 census living with his wife Susie. He was going by the name of Tobe at that time. Susie was born 1911 in Oxford, Mississippi and died July 25, 1974 in Detroit, Michigan. Her parents were John and Fronie Webb also from Oxford. I have found Susie in the home of her parents in 1940, but John Henry is not in the household. Susie is listed as married at the time.
One known child was John E. Kimmons who was born 1927 in Mississippi. He died November 28, 1974 in Toledo, Ohio. John E. married Joyce Barefield 1951 in Toledo, Ohio.
There are several John Henry’s in Lafayette County, Mississippi. I suspect one of them may be the father of John Henry. I am also interested in seeing if there is a connection to the other Kimmons families in Lafayette County. I would love to obtain the death information as well.
I would love to hear from anyone with information. You can find more on my at http://www.debdavis.org/.
NEELY I would very much like to learn information about D. and Clary (Clacy) Neely. Their birthdates are unknown, but Clary is from North Carolina. No documentation has been found to tell us where D. was born, but family lore has always been that my gr-grandfather Thomas' father was from India. Their one known child is Thomas (Tom) Neely who was born 1867 in North Carolina. He lived in Red Banks, Marshall County, Mississippi with his wife through the 1900 - 1910 census. It is not known if he moved to Memphis, Tennessee yet he died there in January of 1930. His daughter Fannie Little was the informant so he may have lived with her at the time. He was a widow so I am also looking for information on the death of his wife Mary Curry Neely. Getting back to D and Clary (Clacy) Neely, I would like to know if they migrated to Mississippi and have any and all information I can find out about them.
