I am searching for descendents of my ggg-grandparents Sandy Anderson and Mariah Greensberry. I have found traces of the family in Bolivar, Amite and Washington Counties in Mississippi. I am unsure if the couple ever married. It is my belief they did not. Marriah married Louis Greensberry in Pulaski county Illinois. federal census. The only known child of Sandy and Mariah was Peter Anderson.

Peter Anderson. He was born Dec 25 1843 in Mississippi. He married Rosetta DEMPSEY. She was born in Arkansas probably in the 1840's or 1850's. They resided in Bolivar County, Mississippi in the 1880 census. A court documents states Peter was from Mound Bayou, MS. In the 1880 Bolivar county census children of Peter and Rosetta were Fred, Preston, Rosetta, Sandy, Mariah, James (female) and Silas. There was another daughter named Peter that I am especially interested in. I have been told she married and remained in Mississippi when the family migrated north to Illinois. Daughter James married James Williams and had one daughter, It is not know what happened to her after that.

I am looking for information on Ed or Ned GREENBERRY i.e. GREENSBERRY, GREENBURY, GREENSBURY. He was born in Arkansasaround 1850. His parents were Louis and MARIA (possibly Mariah) GREENSBERRY who lived in Grand Chain, Pulaski County Illinois sometime around 1880. I would like more information on this family. I am researching the families of Louis Greensberry my gr-gr-gr grandfather who was born in approximately 1810 and Mirista Greensberry (may be Maria or Marriah) born 1825 in Tennessee. They lived in Grand Chain, Pulaski county, Illinois. Louis' father was born in North Carolina and Mother was born in Virginia. The little information I know on their family follows. I would especially be interested in information on ancestors of this family. I would also like to know the correct spelling of the name. It has been documented Greensbury as well.

iii. PETER GREENSBERRY, born 1844. I believe Peter is my gr-gr grandfather and took the name Anderson . I would like more information about this. Was he a natural or step child of Louis Greensberry?

iv. SPENCER GREENSBERRY, born 1848, Kentucky .

v. EDWARD GREENBERRY, born April 11, 1854 , Arkansas died January 28, 1932 , Road District 5, Pulaski County , Illinois . He married. CATHARINE BIRD, April 22, 1877 , Pulaski County , Illinois ; born November 16, 1867 , Hickman , Kentucky ; died April 17, 1929 , Grand Chain, Illinois .

vi. HENRY GREENBERRY, born 1866, Arkansas .

vii. GENNY GREENBERRY, born 1867.

viii. EDNA GREENSBURY, born August 1881, Illinois ; married JOHN WEAVER; born 1872, Alabama.
