MARSHALL MYSTERIES - The family mysteries (queries) in this section deal with the webmaster's family. Please send an email to genealogy@debdavis.org if you have clues to help unfold the mysteries listed here.CURRY I am seeking info on the parents of Mary Curry who was born March 11, 1873 in Mississippi and died May 16, 1918 in Memphis, Tennessee. She married Tom NEELY born May 1867 in North Carolina. Mary and Tom married January 13, 1886 in Marshall County Mississippi. Mary’s death certificate identifies her parents as William Currey and Clara Fant. Both from Mississippi. I have identified a William Curry in Marshall County whom I believe to be her father. This William Curry was born 1838 in South Carolina and was married to Henrietta in the 1880 census. Since I have never found Clara Fant with William I am unsure if they were married. I would love to hear from anyone with information. You can find more on my families as well as links to other Curry researchers at http://www.debdavis.org/.
FANT - Clara Fant was my 2nd gr grandmother. I am having trouble identifying her in any records as I only obtained her name from the death certificate of my great grandmother Mary Curry Neely. I would like to identify her family and connect with family members. I am reasonably sure she was from Marshall County as this was where my gr-grandmother Mary Curry was born on March 11, 1873 and died May 16, 1918 in Memphis, Tennessee. Mary married Tom NEELY January 13, 1886 in Marshall County Mississippi. Mary’s death certificate identified her parents as William Currey and Clara Fant. Both from Mississippi. I have identified a William Curry in Marshall County whom I believe to be her father. This William Curry was born 1838 in South Carolina and was married to Henrietta in the 1880 census. Since I have never found Clara Fant with William I am unsure if they were married. I would love to hear from anyone with information which will lead me to any information on Clara Fant.
