TENNESSEE MYSTERIESIf you have information that you believe will help me find more information on these Tennessee ancestors, please don't hesitate send mail. I would also be happy to add your query regarding your Tennessee mystery ancestor.
ANDERSON. I am researching the ANDERSON family who lived Grand Chain, Pulaski County, Illinois. My GG-Grandfather was Peter ANDERSON born 25 Dec 1842 in Mississippi. His parents were born in Tennessee. I would really like to know who they are. Peter married Rosetta DEMPSEY. Their children were Fred (my gr-grandfather), Rosetta, Preston, Sandy, Mariah and Silas. I would really like to know who their parents were and all that I can learn about them. I am looking forward to hearing from anyone with information about either family. CLEMONS
Looking for information on CLEMONS family. FRANK1
CLEMONS was born in North Carolina.
He married CATHERINE also from North Carolina. Information in the 1880 Weakley County Tennessee census
would place Franks birth around 1826 in North Carolina and Catherine’s
about 1835 in Tennessee. Their
children were Andrew CLEMONS, born Jun/1841, North Carolina, Squire P.
CLEMONS, born Oct/08/1855, Martin, Weakley County, Tennessee; died
Apr/09/1941, Pulaski County, Illinois, Orange CLEMONS, born Aug/1858,
Martin, Weakley County, Tennessee; died Mar/30/1954, Dongoloa,
Illinois, Evelyn CLEMONS, born 1848.
Nearly all of Frank and Catherine’s children settled in
Pulaski County, Illinois. ANDREW2 CLEMONS married CAROLINE. Squire CLEMONS married PARTHENA
J. COLWELL in Weakley County, Tennessee. (Parthena was married to Andy
GARDNER in Weakley Co. prior to her marriage to Squire. Their children were Jacky,
Martha and Eugene.) Orange CLEMONS married LAURA HARPER 1878, daughter
of WILLIAM STUBBLEFIELD and JANE BYRD. EVELYN CLEMONS married a BAWLETT. I would love to hear from anyone with information. You can find more on my families as well as links to other Clemons researchers at DebDavis.org.
HODGE I am looking for the Hodge family in the Obion County Tennessee area. I am interested in the time period prior to 1880 and present. Louis HODGE, born 1816 in North Carolina, married Malissa CREWS and had the following children; Aaron (1865), John (1866), Lucinda HODGE O'NEAL (b: 1872; Grand Chain, Illinois), Lena HODGE MCCLELLAND (b: 1873), Millie HODGE RICHARDSON(1878) and Aaron. Melissa had a son before the marriage named George SCOTT. I am also trying to find Ellis and Louvenia Hodge and descendents. Ellis is the son of John and Lula HODGE. Ellis and Louvenia were married July 21, 1949 in Union City, Tennessee. I would very much like to find family members. I would love to hear from anyone with information. You can find more on my families as well as links to other Hodge researchers at http://www.debdavis.org/.
HOWARD
I am looking for information on the descendants of Louisa MCCLELLAN and Albert HOWARD. I would very much like to contact any living descendants. Louisa HOWARD was my ggg-aunt. Louisa HOWARD was born in August of 1836 in Tennessee, probably Henry County where she resided. I have been trying to determine her death date. Her husband Albert was born 1821 in Tennessee. The last record I found with him was the 1880 Henry County census. In 1900 the youngest child in the household with Louisa is Dora who was born around 1875. Therefore, it is hard to pinpoint Albert’s death beyond that point. I would really like to find more info on this family as I have recently found that Louisa was the sister of my gr-gr grandfather, Richard McClellan. Descendants of this family are below. Please contact me if you are a relative or have information that can help me to complete this line of my ancestry. 1. Albert Howard (b.1821-Tennessee USA) sp: Louisa McClellan (b.1836-Tennessee USA) 2. Warren D. Howard (b.1849-Tennessee,USA) sp: Jenny Brooks (b.1862-Tennessee USA m.1878) 3. Blach L Howard (b.1880-Tennessee) 3. Tera A Howard (b.1882-Tennessee) 3. Oscar T Howard (b.1885-Tennessee) sp: Bessie Howard (b.1892-Tennessee) 4. Ocar W. Jr. Howard (b.1911-Tennessee) sp: Dorothy Virginia Perry (b.1924-Mansfield,Henry,Tennessee,USA m.1942) 4. Marsellus Howard (b.1914-Tennessee) 3. Ada C Howard (b.1887-Tennessee) 3. Hushel L Howard (b.1891-Tennessee) 3. Hattie Howard (b.1893-Tennessee) sp: Fitegnal 4. Virginia Fitegnal (b.1912-Tennessee,USA) 4. Carmeline Fitegnal (b.1915-Tennessee USA) 4. Miles Howard (b.1871-Tennessee USA d.1929-City Hospital No. 2,St. Louis,Missouri) sp: Emma Howard (b.1885-Kentucky) 3. Miles Howard (b.1917-Illinois) 2. Dora Howard (b.1875-Tennessee) They lived in Henry County, Tennessee from the 1870 – 1920 census as far as I have researched. Louisa Howard was still living in 1920 and I would really like to obtain information on her. Her brother Richard McClellan lived in Pulaski County, Illinois at least from his appearance in the 1870 census until his death in 1899 in Pulaski County. I would love to hear from anyone with information. You can find more on my families as well as links to other McClellan(d) researchers at http://www.debdavis.org/.
