Joe Hamilton Sr. was born Mary 14, 1901 in Cold Water, Mississippi to James and Beatrice Hamilton.  

This union produced 14 children, 9 sons and 5 daughters.  Brothers, Whitey and Henry Hamilton lived 

in Tamms, IL.  Henry Hamilton also lived in Charleston, IL and Corothersville, MO.  

Joe Hamilton Sr. left MS at the age of 14 and never returned.  He never spoke of his family nor his life in MS.
