I would appreciate any information on my great-great grandmother Rosetta DEMPSEY. She was born in Arkansas probably in the 1840's or 1850's. She married Peter ANDERSON born 1844 in Barlow, Mississippi. They resided in Bolivar County, Mississippi in the 1880 census. I have reason to believe she may have died in Union County, Illinois but possibly Arkansas or Mississippi. Children of Peter and Rosetta were Fred, Preston, Rosetta, Sandy, James or Janie (female), Mariah and Silas. There was another daughter named Peter that I am especially interested in. I have been told she married. It is not known what happened to her after that.

I am trying to find descendants of gr-aunt James ANDERSON-WILLIAMS, born about 1884 in Mississippi, probably Bolivar county. I believe her mother was Rosetta DEMPSEY ANDERSON, father was Peter ANDERSON. Aunt James remained in the South when the rest of her family moved to Southern IL, Pulaski Co. An affidavit dated July, 1962 gives her name and last known residence as Dumas AR. Her known siblings: Isiah, Fred (my gr-grandfather), Rosetta, Preston, Sandy, Mariah and Silas. She was listed in the 1920 Desha County census with her husband James and daughter Mary A. WILLIAMS.

I would love to hear from anyone with information. I am especially interested in contact with her descendants. Please email me if you have information on this family.
