I am looking for Clemmons in that area. On my fathers b/c. they spelled the name Clemous. I believe it was a misspelling. The family I am Looking for is 3 brothers Benjermin Clemmons 1895, Clifford Clinton (Bones or Clennie) Clemmons 1897, Charles Louis (Lou) Clemmons 1900. All were born In Covington Ind. and the family moved to Danville Ill. Does any of this match? Thank you Luann

Looking for information on CLEMONS family. FRANK¹ CLEMONS was born in North Carolina. He married CATHERINE also from North Carolina. Information in the 1880 Weakley County Tennessee census would place Franks birth around 1826 in North Carolina and Catherine’s about 1835 in Tennessee. Their children were Andrew CLEMONS, born Jun/1841, North Carolina, Squire P. CLEMONS, born Oct/08/1855, Martin, Weakley County, Tennessee; died Apr/09/1941, Pulaski County, Illinois, Orange CLEMONS, born Aug/1858, Martin, Weakley County, Tennessee; died Mar/30/1954, Dongoloa, Illinois, Evelyn CLEMONS, born 1848.

Nearly all of Frank and Catherine’s children settled in Pulaski County, Illinois. ANDREW² CLEMONS married CAROLINE. Squire CLEMONS married PARTHENA J. COLWELL in Weakley County, Tennessee. (Parthena was married to Andy GARDNER in Weakley Co. prior to her marriage to Squire. Their children were Jacky, Martha and Eugene.) Orange CLEMONS married LAURA HARPER 1878, daughter of WILLIAM STUBBLEFIELD and JANE BYRD. EVELYN CLEMONS married a BAWLETT.

I am looking for a Monroe Clemons/Clemmons, he was born Feb 15, 1876 and died May 12, 1962. I know for sure that he died in Dallas TX. I was told he was born in Pulaski Co, TN. He was the youngest of 15 chlidren and was married three times. Do you have any information on him?

Let me know if there are any connections to Georgia. My grandfather's name was George Clemons. He moved from Putnam County, Georgia in 1920.
