Oris Clay was born March 14, 1912 in Grand Chain, Illinois, to Mark and Alice Clay.

He was reared and educated in Grand Chain.  Being the eldest son, of a sanctified Minister, he confessed Christ at an early age and continued to love and support the church for the remainder of his life.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to Lilly Browder in Benton, Kentucky.  To this union five children were born.  Later he moved his family to Davenport, Iowa, where they resided until his employer transferred him to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1951.  He retired after 27 years and three months from the International Harvester Company.

He was a member of Christ Temple in Milwaukee.  After he moved here to Roswell, a year ago, he joined St. Paul's Church of God in Christ.  He departed this life at 11:20 a.m. on September 3, 1975.  He leaves to mourn his passing; numerous family members.

Father, you filled our lives with love,

Now take your rest with God above.
