Searching for Aunt in Chicago area.

I would like to find my Aunt and her descendents. If anyone has information about the daughter of John McClelland, please contact me. My mother and I would very much like to meet her. She should probably have been born sometime after World War II in Cook County, Illinois. My grandfather, John McClelland is the only one of her parents I know anything about. He was born in Grand Chain, Illinois on June 12, 1909 to Lena Hodge and Witt McClelland. After his discharge from World War II, he resided in Chicago, Illinois. The daughter I am looking for would have been born sometime after this.

I would like to know the parents, siblings and other descendants of Mildred (Millie) Vaughn. Mildred VAUGHN was born May 1882 probably in Pulaski County, Illinois. She married William WASHINGTON, Jr. September 19, 1896, son of William WASHINGTON and Caroline AUSTIN-POWELL. He was born December 1873 in Illinois. They lived in St. Clair County in the 1920 census.

Children of Mildred VAUGHN and William WASHINGTON:

i. Ona WASHINGTON, b. September 15, 1898; d. June 1971, Madison, Illinois. Ona married a SOLOMON, but I don’t know his given name.

ii. Herschel WASHINGTON.

I would like to know what happened to Herschel. His last known whereabouts were in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.

Inquiring about HENRY HAMMOND for a friend. He lived on State Street in Chicago, Illinois in the 1940's or 1950's. I believe he was born in Mississippi.

I would love to hear from anyone with information. You can find more on my families as well as links to other McClelland researchers at I would like information on the marriage of John McClelland. This marriage occurred in Cook County, Illinois. The best estimate of a timeframe is the 1950's. I have reason to believe his wife's given name was Nancy. John was born June 12, 1909 in Grand Chain, Illinois. He was the son of James Witt McClelland and Lena Hodge. John moved to Chicago after being released from Armed Service after World War II. It is also believed that he had a daughter, although this daughter may or may not be the child of the wife I am in search of. I would love to make contact with either individual or their descendents.
