County court of Monroe County in vacation
July 20 A D 1846
Be it remembered that William J. Howell, Thomas Crutcher, and John M. Parsons the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will personally appeared before me, E.W. McBride clerk of said court and being by me duly sworn, depose and say that they saw the within named testator Thomas Gaines sign the foregoing instrument of writing which he published as his last will that he the said testator was at the time of sound mind and over the age of twenty one years and they attested said will as witnesses thereto by subscribing their names to the same in the presence of said testator which said proof is decried by me sufficient to establish said will.
W.J. Howell
Tho. Crutcher
John M. Parsons
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal
Of said court at office in Paris this 30 day of July A D 1846.
